Lester Theodore Dallmann

The family of Lester Dallmann invites you to join them for a celebration of his life on Saturday, June 26, 2021. Burial will be at 12:15 p.m. followed by a 1:30 p.m. church service at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Wabasso, MN. Jerry and Cheri will host a lunch at the farm following the service. Cemetery address: intersection of Hunter Ave. and 210th St., Wabasso, MN, Church address: 210 County Highway 6, Wabasso, MN. Lester Theodore Dallmann was born on January 24, 1929, on the family farm in Waterbury Township, to Theodore and Clara (Raveling) Dallmann. Lester grew up on the farm and attended country school district 78 in Waterbury Township. On July 4, 1950, Lester was united in marriage to Doris Martensen at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Waterbury Township. He was a lifelong member of St. Matthew’s, having been baptized, confirmed, and married there. He served on the church council and was a member of the cemetery board as well. Lester farmed near Wabasso most of his life. After retiring in 1987, he hauled fertilizer and LP Gas for the Echo Coop and Meadowland in Wabasso. Lester was active in the community, serving as a Wabasso school board member and on the DHIH board. In his free time, Lester enjoyed woodworking and gardening. In their later years, Lester and Doris moved to Hill Street Place in Marshall. Lester died on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at the Prairie Home Hospice Lockwood House in Marshall. He is survived by his wife Doris of Marshall; children Rodney Dallmann of Charlotte, NC, Lucille (Greg) Regnier of Cambridge, Jerry (Cheri) Dallmann of Wabasso, Jan Timmerman of Cottonwood, Jean (Mark) Mather of Marshall, and Joan Dallmann of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren Ted (Declan) Dallmann, Tim Dallmann, Elizabeth Dallmann, Jay (Becky) Schueller, Gerry (Jenny) Schueller, Andy (Abby) Dallmann, Jessica Foy, Cory (Chelsey) Timmerman, Jamie Timmerman, Stephanie (Nick) Headley, Erik Mather, Cody (Lorisa) Mather, Samantha Placek, Makayla Lindsay, and Nick Lindsay; great-grandchildren Emily, Gavin, Peyton, Katelyn, Nolan, Brooklyn, Sara, Carter, Benson, Griffin and Jacoby; sister-in-law Myra Dallmann; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Jesse Timmerman, and brothers Armin and Fred.
