Virginia “Ginny” Lucille (Kochmann) Lang was born on March 27, 1946, in Sauk Centre, MN, to Edwin and Clara “Tudy” (Felling) Kochmann. She grew up in Elrosa, MN, and after graduating from Belgrade High School, she worked in the Minneapolis area. Ginny met her soon to be husband, James “Jim” Lang, and they were united in marriage on October 23, 1967, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Sanborn, MN. The couple later moved to Georgia, where Jim worked construction. They returned to Sanborn in 1970. Ginny worked at Central Publications in Sanborn for many years. She also prepped and served meals at the Farmers Golf Club in Sanborn, where she was asked frequently to prepare deviled eggs, sauerkraut, pickle wraps, and other favorites for customers. After Jim passed away in 2006, Ginny stayed in Sanborn for several years before moving to Redwood Falls, MN, and eventually to Parkview Senior Living in Belview, MN.

Ginny was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Sanborn and St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and watching sports, especially Twins baseball. She also enjoyed listening to Daniel O’Donnell and putting puzzles together. Ginny especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren, where hugs and smiles were always noticed. She had many friends along the way, and each one meant a lot and was valued. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity.

Ginny died on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Parkview Senior Living in Belview. She is survived by her sons Kim (Stacey) Lang of Rothsay and Keith (Janel) Lang of Redwood Falls; grandchildren Cole, Landon, Caden, Alex, and Brandon; siblings Mary Kay Dolan of Cold Spring, Susan Kochmann of Minneapolis, Becky (Joe) Eibensteiner of Sauk Centre, and George (Brenda) Kochmann of Cold Spring.
