Steven Albert Lensing

Mass of Christian Burial for Steven Lensing, 70, of Bird Island, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the church, with a parish prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery in Wabasso. Arrangements with Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association in Wabasso.

Steven Albert Lensing was born on April 27, 1956, in Redwood Falls, to Kenneth and Arlene (Macht) Lensing. He grew up in rural Wabasso, attending St. Anne’s Catholic School before graduating from Wabasso High School in 1974. On June 5, 1976, Steve was united in marriage to Rhonda Corbin. They welcomed their daughter, Tina in 1977 and son, Daniel in 1980. Steve worked various jobs throughout his life, most recently truck driving. He was a dedicated worker who was passionate about every job he ever held. No job was too small, and he gave his all in everything he did. The couple enjoyed camping and traveling together, including trips to Duluth, MN, the Black Hills, and several trips to the Winstock music festival. In his free time, Steve loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, and friends. He enjoyed camping, grilling over an open fire, gardening, fishing, and playing 10 Point. He needed to stay busy and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Steve died peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Rhonda, of Bird Island; daughter Tina (Scott) Hanna of Wabasso, their children Madeline (Cole) Frericks of Clements, Sophia, Calvin, and Grace Hanna of Wabasso; son Dan (Sabrina) Lensing of Wabasso, their children Tyler, Steven, Chase, and Alexis Lensing of Wabasso; siblings Deb (Dan) Hengel, Jean (Steve) Nelsen, Susan Grunewald, Joyce (Kevin) Friedrich, Diane (Keven) Hillenbrand, and Greg (Lisa) Lensing; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Daniel, and nieces Jennifer and Jessica.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Anne’s Catholic School in Wabasso.
