The funeral service for Norman “Norm” Myers, 96, of Cottonwood, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood. Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Cottonwood. Military honors provided by American Legion Post #503.
Norman “Norm” Junior Myers was born on June 4, 1929, in Aetna Township, to Earle and Esther (Anderson) Myers. He graduated from Ruthton High School. Norm served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 until his honorable discharge in 1952. On November 1, 1969, he was united in marriage to Faye (Hubert) Kroger. He owned his own business providing plumbing and heating services, as well as selling appliances. Norm was a hard worker, working well into his 80s. Norm loved his family, and his favorite way to show his love was through teasing. He loved to joke around and he gave everyone nicknames. In his free time, Norm enjoyed golfing, gardening, and fishing. He and Faye traveled to Arkansas every March for many years.
Norm died on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Luther Haven nursing home in Montevideo. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Faye Myers; children Greg (Jane) Myers, Craig (Tori) Kroger, Kevin (Sheryl) Myers, Neil (Ellen) Kroger, Tracy (John) Sterner, and Shawn (Vicki) Myers; 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; favorite cat Molly; as well as many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, four siblings, and two siblings in infancy.
