Marlene Mary Schueller (Kostner) was born on 5/1/1951 to William and Genevieve (Zins) Schueller at Eitel hospital in Minneapolis, MN. She was raised in Wabasso, MN and graduated from Wabasso High School in the spring of 1969. Upon graduation from high school she moved to Mankato, MN where she completed cosmetology training. After working for a number of years as a beautician she then began her career at Brown Printing in Waseca, MN where she worked for forty years. Marlene loved to crochet and would often create winter hats and gloves to donate to the Bundle Me Warm program in Mankato. When she wasn’t crocheting she would create floral arrangements. Marlene was a gifted writer and in high school was a member of the writers club. While writing for the club, she won recognition for a poem she wrote. Marlene had a green thumb and enjoyed caring for the flowers she would plant every year. She spent many years volunteering at the food shelf and veterans breakfast in Waseca, MN. Marlene was an avid listener of Elvis. She had a special place in her heart for her family and her pet cats. Marlene died at home in Mankato, MN on February 25th, 2023. Marlene is survived by her daughter Cassie (Wayne) Eaton, granddaughters Kaylie Eaton, Miah Eaton, twin brother Melvin (Sally) Schueller, sisters Kathleen (Ron) Payeur, LuAnne (Larry) Page, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Genevieve (Zins) Schueller, beloved cat Shotzee, and late boyfriend of granddaughter Miah Tanner Dosch.
