Lalah Ione Bahn

Funeral Service for Lalah (Plath) Bahn of Wood Lake will be held at 2:00 pm. Friday, Aug 13, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wood Lake with a visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will be at a later date. Lalah Ione (Plath) Bahn was born on March 27, 1932, to Arthur and Edith (Markgraf) Plath. She was baptized on April 24, 1932 and confirmed on May 12, 1946. She attended country school and St. John’s Lutheran school. She then attended Wood Lake High School. On September 2, 1949 she was united in marriage to David Bahn at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wood Lake. The couple farmed and raised their family in the Wood Lake area until retiring in 2003. Lalah was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wood Lake where she served as a Sunday School teacher, member of the choir and the Women’s Society. She was passionate about baking, playing cards and spending time with family. She is survived by children; Michael (Terry), Richard (Gail), Lanae (Chuck) Grieger, Vicki (Brad) Lundy, Nathan (Linette) and Lori; 26 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; siblings LaDonna Benson and Bill (Joy) Plath. She was preceded in death by her husband David; 1 grandson Benjamin Strey; siblings Elaine Bruss and Art Plath.
