Jeffrey Cole

Jeffrey Cole, 55, of Cottonwood, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Clarkfield Care Center in Clarkfield. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood.  Visitation will be from 6 – 8 PM on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Christ Lutheran Church and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.  The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family. Jeffrey Allan Cole was born on February 24, 1962 and joined the family of Jim and Darleen Cole. He grew up in Cottonwood, Minnesota where he attended Cottonwood Public School.  He was a huge Raiders and Lakers fan.  Jeff was raised with four sisters so he acquired a fun sense of humor early in life.  Jeff loved sports.  He could give a rundown of most any memorable play in high school basketball or football for 30 years.  Jeff served in the US Army and then moved to California where he loved the sun and the beach and his many friends there.  He returned to Cottonwood in 2009 and enjoyed hanging out with all of his family, helping his mom when he could, and mowing around the farm.  He had a love for animals and a cat of his own.  He also enjoyed helping out at his nieces daycare and helping out at his sister’s lunch wagon, working with food and visiting with customers. Jeffrey passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Clarkfield Care Center after a courageous struggle with ALS at the age of 55. He is survived by his mother Darleen; sisters Deb (Roger) Breyfogle, Laurie (Myron) Kuyper, Becky (Doug) Kerkvliet, Barbie (Josh) Deutz; 5 nieces, 3 nephews and 22 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Jim Cole Blessed be the memory of Jeff Cole.
