Eleanor "Ellie" Baune

To view the service, paste the following link into your browser: https://youtu.be/KmZ1vEl_Zlo The funeral service for Eleanor “Ellie” Baune, 86, of Vesta, will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2020, at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Marshall. A walk through visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Remembrance Center. Interment will follow the service at the Holy Name Catholic Cemetery in Vesta. Masks are required at all indoor events and social distancing guidelines will be followed at all times. Eleanor “Ellie” Baune was born on December 6, 1933, to Camiel and Margaret Baert. On November 17, 1951, she was united in marriage to LaVerne Baune at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She retired as the City Clerk in Vesta. Ellie loved elephants, artex paints, baking and her recipes. Ellie died on Friday, November 20, 2020, at the Prairie Home Hospice Lockwood House in Marshall. She is survived by her son Charles (and Rose Ann) Baune, daughter Marge Warnke and daughter Pat (and Dan) Piker, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and sister Bonnie Tubbs. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband LaVerne, daughter Karen Schreifels, son Richard, grandsons Jason Schreifels and Mark Warnke and brothers Dennie Baert and Bernie Baert.
