Carol Ann Muenchow

A private family interment will take place at a later date. Carol Ann (Timm) Muenchow was born on August 24, 1939, in Wood Lake, to Gerhardt and Elda (Bode) Timm. Carol grew up in Wood Lake and graduated from Wood Lake High School. On November 24, 1956, Carol was united in marriage to Don Muenchow at St Luke’s Lutheran Church in Posen Township. The couple made their home in Minneapolis before moving to a farm near Wood Lake in 1958. They moved into Marshall in 1960, then purchased a farm near Wood Lake in Posen Township in 1962. Carol and Don raised their family and farmed in Posen Township until their retirement in 2000. Carol enjoyed her role as a farmer’s wife, working side by side with Don for many years. Carol enjoyed the little things in life, like bird watching and going antiquing with her husband. In her later years, Carol traveled to resorts with her sisters. She enjoyed visiting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren on holidays. Carol and Don also loved spending time at their lake home on Lake Rachel for 39 years. Carol was a lifelong member of St. Luke’s, and her faith was very important to her. Carol died on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at her residence in Wood Lake. She is survived by her son Neal (Teresa) Muenchow of Kensington; daughters Lori (David) Jeseritz of Wood Lake and Mary (Rick) Samuelson of Sacred Heart; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; sisters Elaine (special friend Bill) Just of Annandale and Marjean (special friend Leonard) Naab of Redwood Falls; brothers Richard (Carol) Timm of Wood Lake and Clifford (Carol) Timm of Villard; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Gerhardt and Elda, husband Don, infant son, daughter-in-law Diane Muenchow, brothers-in-law Dallas Just and Orlean Naab, and nephew Brian Naab.
