Ardyce Jean Strand

The funeral service for Ardyce Strand, 95, of Redwood Falls, formerly of Olivia and Wabasso, will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Wabasso. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow the service at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Cemetery in Wabasso.

Ardyce Jean (Lawrenz) Strand was born on June 23, 1931, in Johnsonville Township, Redwood Falls, to Adolph and Alma (Ellingson) Lawrenz. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in Walnut Grove. On October 15, 1949, she was united in marriage to Douglas Strand. The couple lived in several communities including Lucan, Waterbury Township, and from 1962, Wabasso. Ardyce worked as a Bookkeeper for the family Business, Wabasso Diesel Service. She also worked as a Noon Supervisor for the Wabasso Grade School. In 2004, Ardyce was united in marriage to Jerry Noggle.

Ardyce enjoyed dancing and quilting. She was very talented and created a yo-yo quilt for all of her children and grandchildren. Ardyce also enjoyed wintering in Arizona. In October of 2023, she moved to the Traditions Senior Living Center in Olivia and later moved to Vista Prairie at Garnette Gardens in Redwood Falls, MN.

Ardyce died on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, under hospice care at Garnette Gardens. She is survived by her children Mike (Jane) Strand of Lamberton, Milan Strand of Slayton, LouAnn (Don) Zieske of Spicer, Lynette (Ron) Bernardy of Olivia, 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, siblings Charlene “Snooks” Satter of Windom, Arlynn Lawrenz of Avon, in-laws Carol (Jerry) Maasch, Karen (Herb) Kreft and Barb Straumann, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands Douglas Strand and Jerry Noggle, great-grandson Ethan Luckhardt, sister Shirley Radel and brother Dean Lawrenz and in-laws David “Pancho” Straumann, Mike Straumann and DeeAnn Hunter.
