Amanda Hines, 95 of Belview, MN, died on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Parkview Home in Belview. Services will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Belview with burial in the Belview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 PM on Tuesday at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.  The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association is caring for the family.   Amanda Augusta Hines was born at the rural farmhouse of her parents Theodore and Augusta (Seehusen) Standfuss in Emmet Township, Renville County Minnesota on October 6, 1922. She was the 7th of 14 children. As a young woman, Amanda was a nurse’s aide at the Montevideo Hospital and took care of her mother for several years when her mother was ill. Amanda married Ernest R. Hines on August 23, 1947 at the Saint Matthew Lutheran Church in Danube, Minnesota. Amanda was a mother and homemaker her whole life.  She helped her husband Ernest farm near Belview, Minnesota for 53 years. Amanda was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Belview. She served on the Altar Guild and held several positions for the Ladies' Aid and Church Circles at the Grace Lutheran Church.  Amanda also served in multiple positions for Music Mothers at the Belview Public School. Amanda's hobbies were reading, gardening, traveling and fishing with her family. Amanda had a legendary love for flowers, especially roses and lilies.  She also collected and displayed ceramic or carved angels of all kinds. Amanda is survived by her childen: George (Diane) Hines of Tucson, AZ; Garvin Hines of Belview, MN; Trudy (Dan) Woltjer of Vail, AZ; and David (Brenda) Hines of Spicer, MN; grandchildren Corrine (David) Hines-Zarach of Vail, AZ; Bonnie (John) Hines-Doherty of Chicago, IL; Mandy (Byron) Fischer of Belgrade, MN; Jason (Allyson) Kidrowski of Neosho, MO; Justin (Kirsten) Kidrowski of Spicer, MN; Ryan (Julie) Kidrowski of Willmar, MN; Blake Hines of Spicer, MN; and Austin Hines of Peoria, AZ; great grandchildren Naomi of Neoshoe, MO, Ethan, Evan and Ellan of Belgrade, MN; and Rosemarie of Vail, AZ and her sister Ella Barber of Granite Falls, MN. Amanda was preceded in death by her husband Ernest, two sons (one in infancy and Daryl Ray), her parents, five brothers and six sisters.
