Maxine Marcella (Timm) Homme, age 91 of Riverside, CA, formerly of Wood Lake, passed away on February 22, 2015 in Riverside, California. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Posen Township, rural Wood Lake, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are sent to either St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Wood Lake, MN or Faith Lutheran Church in Sun City, CA. Homme, Maxine Marcella (Timm) Loving wife, mother , grandmother, great grandmother, and mother-in-law passed away peacefully on Feb. 22, 2015 in Riverside, CA at the age of 91. She was born and raised on a farm in Wood Lake, MN. She married Eldor Homme and they lived in OK, MN, NM, and CA. Preceded in death by parents William and Alvina (Bruss) Timm, husband Eldor, infant son Colin, daughter Karin Elavsky, and granddaughter Basia Altamirano, and son-in-law Larry Larson. Maxine was a strong yet gentle person who deeply loved her large family and later was proud to be employed at Penney’s, Dayton’s, Broadway, and Dillard’s. She exhibited a special kind of love for all her grandchildren and great grand children. She was a person who believed in God, enjoyed reading the Bible, cooking, and baking. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten! Survived by children Bruce (Rebecca) Homme, Pam Larson, Ranelle (Fred) Brandt, Marcia (Brad) Wicks, Brian (Pam) Homme, Janice Homme-Nichols, Jill (Deb) Homme, and son-in-law Jeff Elavsky; 18 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. The entire family extends their sincere thanks and appreciation to all who cared for her.
