Lorraine J. Larsen, age 80, of Echo, MN passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Wabasso. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church in Belview. Visitation will be held from 5-7:30 PM on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo. Burial will be in the Echo City Cemetery. Online condolences may be placed at www.sunsetfuneralassociation.com. The Sunset Funeral and Cremation Association of Echo and Wabasso are handling the arrangements. Lorraine Josephine Larsen was born on March 11, 1932 to Clarence and Helen (Lasota) Nolte in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and attended Milwaukee Public Schools. On April 15, 1950 she was united in marriage to John Larsen in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After marriage, they returned to the Echo area where they remained their entire life together. Lorraine was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Echo and was active in the church choir. In later years, she joined Grace Lutheran Church in Belview. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxillary for many years. She was a housewife and mother who raised eight children. Lorraine enjoyed reading, gardening, loved flowers, collecting angels and souvenir spoons, going to her children’s school events and other activities, loved animals and spending time with family and friends. On Friday, May 4, 2012, Lorraine passed away at the Golden Living Center in Wabasso at the age of 80. She is survived by her children, Patricia (Michael) Lubeck of Belview, Debra (Kenneth) Fosnight of Maricopa, AZ, Diane Larsen of St. Cloud, Doreen (Ed) Evers of Wood Lake, Daniel (Tammy) Larsen of Echo, David (Jenny) Larsen of Echo and Donald (Deanna) Larsen of Milroy; eleven grandchildren, Mandy, Misty, Joseph, Gage, Spencer, Kyana, Baylee, Derek, Jordan, Connor and Miranda; six great grandchildren and one sister, Doris. Her parents and one daughter, Denise, preceded her in death. Blessed be her memory.
